Autistics Now Eligible for National Assistance Card
This morning, I had the pleasure of assisting with the launch of the National Assistance Card to autistic Australians.
I was invited to participate in an insightful panel discussion on what makes this card unique and how this valuable tool could be useful for autistics.
The National Assistance Card is a personalised card that allows Australians with a disability to discreetly inform people of their disability and nonverbally communicate their access requirements.
I would like to thank everyone who helped the card get to where it is today the team at Amaze, Brain Injury Association of Tasmania and Senator Catryna Bilyk. This is an amazing tool that I believe will positively impact the lives of thousands of Australians with disabilities.
You can learn more about the National Assistance Card and apply for a card of your own by heading to: https://www.nationalassistancecard.com.au
I appreciate being offered the opportunity to be an ambassador for the National Assistance Card, and I look forward to seeing the impact this card will have on people with disabilities.
