Over the last few years, life events have influenced me both on a personal and a professional level and has led me to cover intersectionality, specifically, the overlap between the neurodivergent community and the LGBTQIA+ community.
True accessibility cannot exist in a vacuum. We cannot talk about creating accessible spaces without acknowledging how intersectional identities shape our experiences.
The work I do as an access consultant and autism advocate isn’t just theoretical; it is rooted in my own lived experience. In 2022, I shared my journey online of discovering and accepting my bisexuality, but that was only one layer of my story.
As yesterday was International Pronouns Day, today I want to share the next chapter. This video offers a personal look at my journey from navigating strict societal rules, to uncovering a missing piece of my identity through professional research. It also outlines exactly how this milestone impacts my consulting work and public appearances moving forward.
I want to thank everyone who has supported my work, and worked alongside me over the last decade. I look forward to our continued journey together as we advocate for a world that embraces and celebrates the full spectrum of human diversity.
